Cute Easy Ice Cream Drawing Tutorial
This cute ice cream is fun to draw and super easy. Let’s get started.
Not just for kids, ice cream drawings make for cute fabric patterns, stickers and covers for pencil cases, stationery etc. So it is definitely something you want to have in your bag of things you can draw.
Plus… it’s yummy. Let’s just straight in.
Ps: Don’t forget all artwork on this site is original art created by me. I’d love you to recreate it and share your stuff on social, just remember to tag me @milansmischief on Insta or TikTok (and no commercial resale allowed. Thanks!)

The Delicious and Cute Ice Cream Appears…..
Here’s the step by step breakdown my friend, along with some pretty useless (but strangely interesting) facts about our favorite dessert.
Step One: Draw A V
Most (not all) but most ice cream cones are the traditional cone shape, which means because the top is covered by icecream we just need to draw the bottom. Start with a simple V shape.
Useless Icecream Fact 1: According to Ben & Jerry’s, ice cream cones were invented way back in 1904 in St Louis so people could buy icecream and eat it as they walked around the fair.
Step Two: It Looks Like the Ice Cream Was Slimed!
Heh heh. IKR! The reason I started my ice cream drawing like this was because I like it to have that melting ice cream deliciousness vibe.
You can also just draw a circle if you want.
Useless Icecream Fact 2: July is National Ice Cream month in the States. A very excellent month if I do say so myself.
Step Three: Draw The Melt
This is where you just join up both sides of the icecream with a wonky line. HUGE TIP – if you want a super melty mess, just draw larger wobbles.
Useless Ice Cream Fact 3: Can you guess what the most popular icecream flavor is? If you guessed vanilla, you’d be right. Maybe its because vanilla makes such an epic base to add chocolate sauce or strawberry sauce, or sprinkles and banana or caramel bits onto… (OMG DROOOOOOL!)
Step Four: Go For A Double Scoop!
One scoop just isn’t enough in my world! I mean, there really are too many flavors to choose from and you can’t be expected to just stick to one right?
So, we repeat the process and draw another blobby scoop on top of the first one. If you use a tablet like I do you can just erase the lines you don’t want. Otherwise it’s time to get out your eraser!
Useless Ice Cream Fact 4: Eating an ice cream-only diet is an incredibly bad idea.
Step Five: Zoosh Up the Ice Cream Cone!
Oooh! This is a fun bit. Let’s make today’s cone stripey. I was thinking of doing polka dots but I decided to add sprinkles so I’ve got dots coming up in the next step.
Useless Ice Cream Fact 5: Apparently, Alexander the Great (super old dude who lived back in 300 BC times) liked to eat snow flavored with nectar and honey. Hmmm… Alexander the Great Trendsetter it seems.
Step Six: Add ALL the Sprinkles!
Oh yeah! Time to go crazy with the goodies here. I wanted it all; wafer stick, berry on top and sprinkles.
Actually, this is the step where you could add a face on your cute ice cream drawing if you want to make it look happy… or spooky like I’ve done below.
The Last Useless Ice Cream Fact For Today: The end of World War II was celebrated by eating ice cream. So therefore I hereby decree that the end of Covid means we should all get delicious ice cream cones!
BOOM! The cone is complete
Here’s one version. Scroll down for the spooky cone version I did 🙂
